COURSE OFFERED TO QUALIFY FOR THE POSITION:

Household Services NCII
(300 HRS required to complete the course)

1. Housekeeping

Maintenance/cleanliness of facilities such as Living Room, Bedroom, Dining Room, Toilet and Bathroom, Kitchen and Multipurpose quarters, etc.

2. Laundry

Washing and ironing by the use of machines, know how to identify the fabric and linens for laundering.

3. Food and Beverages

Preparation of menu and recipe for specific nationality; Proper serving and setting of the table for a certain occasion.

4. Food Production/Main Kitchen

Proper use of cooking wares/kitchen utensils.

5. Child and Elderly Care

Care giving to the elders by proper medicines and hygiene.

6. Emergencies and Safety Practices

Safety measures on usage of electric appliances, switches, cause by fire, etc. Self defense or preventive action arises from negative attitude of employers.

7. English and Arabic Language

Translation from Arabic to English or Tagalog.

8. Home Management

Budgeting of your working time, expenses against your income. Also applicable when you handles cash money from your employer.

9. Personality Development

Personal hygiene and proper attire. Good grooming and etiquette in handling your job and socially confident in dealing with others. Always remember the golden rule. “Do not do to others what you don’t like others do unto you”.

10. Culture and Tradition

Orientation on comparison between Catholic Filipino Traditional Culture and Muslim/Non Christian Country and its religious beliefs and values.

After the training you are most qualified to handle the following positions: Domestic Helpers with different category and skills Housekeeping: Chambermaid, Roomboy, Linen Attendant, Laundry Attendant.

Food & Beverages: Waiter, Food Attendant, Busboy, Beverage/Cocktail Attendant, Bartender Attendant/Helper.

Food Production or Main Kitchen: Cook, Cook Helper, Baker, Bakeshop Attendant, Butchery, Kitchen Steward, Messman, Galley Utility. Hospital Aid: Caregiver for Elders, Attendants.
